Holiday Rentals in Sarapiquí

The hostel is situated in a perfect location in the village center. Situated a 80 meters from the main road, so very quiet. Supermarket, bakery, Best Coffee and the company for booking rafting and other tours are at walking distance. In the morning you can hike opposite of the road to the nature reserve for birdwatching; and there are so many species of birds! In the afternoon you can walk to the river and have a swim or dip in to it to cool off. I booked a private room with private bathroom and the rooms are very big, so you can stay with 4 persons. The hostel has a lovely view, expect Ara's and many multicolored birds in the backyard snacking from the banana's. The owner Maria is so warm and friendly, and there are 2 lovely dogs who want to be friends with you as soon as you arrive. The facilities in the kitchen are very good. Everything is super clean and tidy, value for money is superb!

This is a big house in the forest, very clean. We saw soo many birds here (macaw, toucan...) There is a beautiful waterfall near this place (25min walk:. And Wendy was very helpful.

We had a lovely week-long stay. This cabin is very unique. It is a log cabin just off the main road in Sarapiquí, right beside the river that is constantly busy with passing rafts and kayaks. There are two bedrooms and an extra airbed upstairs. The place has a well equipped kitchen, there is limited counter space for cooking but that's a small thing. There is a washer and clothes line outside that you can use. Geovany even brought a large desk and office chair in one of the bedrooms during our stay which was awesome! For anyone working, the WiFi is the best we've had in all of Costa Rica. It's super fast and good for video calls. The upstairs is super cool! It's totally open, more than I expected, but we loved that! It felt like we were in a treehouse. During thunderstorms it's especially great. There is a big tv up there so we spent a lot of time up there in the evenings to relax. Of course some creatures come in, mainly just some flies and moths. It was totally fine actually. The floors are definitely treated here because we never got ants of anything crawling in like that. Geovany also visited during our visit and did a full clean, changing sheets, towels etc. it was great.

Clean, smells good, AC, nice little kitchen, private parking and gated access. Nice people !!! Perfect spot to visit sarapiqui from and more. We stayed only one night as we were transitioning but theres a nice nightwalk (Sarapiqui Xperience) in La Virgen. Cash only:). The bed are comfy of course. The overall look is very satisfying too!

Convenient road side motel, with lovely bungalows.

Without any doubt, it was our best time in CR. At Finca La Paz we really felt in close contact with nature and with the local lifestyle. Paul, the host, was supporting us way before our arrival, helping us organizing authentic experiences (CR is now full of super turistic activities which really lack authenticity). We saw the first tucanoes of our trip, a lontra, some monkeys and other animals. We had the priviledge to visit the finca of neighboring farmers. Getting to know them and preparing a meal with the fresh products of their land was a precious experience that we'll never forget. We also joined a safari boat trough the river Puerto Viejo, were we spotted a lot of birds and iguanas, and also green lizards, fishes and monkeys. Absolutely recommended.
