Everything, it’s difficult to choose something. Starting from the accommodation, you could see the care they put on building each cabin. The Colibrì cabin has stunning views on the river and the surrounding forest. Waking up listening to the sound of the river and the birds is unique. Pablo and Melissa welcomed us warmly in their hacienda, speaking about Colombia, its nature, its people and its food in a passionate way. We did the permaculture tour with Pablo who walked us through every sector of their farm speaking in details about native plants and their future plan to expand the farm and you could feel his passion about preserving indigenous plants and protecting the environment. Also dinner and breakfast were cooked with love with super local products. In addition Pijao is really a gem, away from touristy places. It’s a pity we spent only two nights there. If you have a chance, book your stay here and you wouldn’t be disappointed!

The hosts were super friendly and did everything to make us feel welcome and home. The dogs and the cat were very cuddly. The area was calm and relaxing. We didn't end up in the room we booked, but it worked out just fine. Breakfast was one of the nicer ones we had in Colombia. The house was very artistic and the interior design was self-made by the owners

Breakfast was simply amazing! Typical colombian breakfast with fruit from their own garden! It was lovely to have breakfast in such a wonderful landscape! The hosts were caring and very fiendly. They are two amazing human beings so I would recommend staying here... meet them and try their delicious coffee

Everything! Pablo and Melissa are incredible hosts - generous and welcoming. They built the cabin by hand and every single detail is incredibly well thought through. The photos don’t do it justice - it’s even more amazing when you get there! They showed us around, were v helpful via WhatsApp, great food, great conversation and a very charming dog! They helped us arrange taxis, dinner and it’s amazingly good value for money… worth spending just for the sounds and scene you wake up to. Surrounded by coffee and banana plants, trees filled with birds and the sound of the river. Not to mention fireflies at night!

An oasis in Pija. The owners are amazing beautiful Colombian family that do their best to make your travels very special. The food was delicious made with love. The room was gorgeous and the beds and blankets were so comfortable. Never saw so many birds at once. I was in bird heaven. The walk down to the village is so fun and picturesque then you can take a willy up for 30 COP.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Everyone there was really friendly and the breakfasts were really tasty. Dinner is also sometimes available for a small price. Hosts very helpful with offering advice and information. Room was great and a hot shower is always nice!
