I had a wonderful experience staying on this houseboat. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a very peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views of the water. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The food served on board was fresh and delicious, giving us a taste of authentic local cuisine. Our host was extremely welcoming and attentive. They made sure we felt comfortable throughout the stay, guided us about local attractions, and went the extra mile to make the trip memorable. Their hospitality truly made a big difference. We are a mother and daughter travelling on our own, we were a little nervous about coming to Srinagar. There was no need to be nervous, the Mascot the owners and staff looked after us so well, we actually felt safer here than anywhere else we had travelled and it’s became our favourite destination. The mascot houseboats are beautiful and on the best lake, facing towards the mountains, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff were amazing, our waiters Azard and Nazir were on hand always and took such good care of us. The chef was also lovely and his food was delicious, a choice in meal size would be good though, the meals were huge and we were only able to eat half of what was put on the table. The staff organised a three hour shikara ride to Dal Lake with delicious tea and cakes for our journey. We loved the floating markets, watching the day-to-day life of the locals and we got some amazing photos. They also organise a day trip to and we went up in the gondolas, also an unforgettable experience. We threw food for the Eagles from the top of the houseboat which was also very special. The whole experience was amazing, I think one of the most lovely things was how friendly the locals were, people waved smiled at us everywhere we went. When we return to India, staying here again will be on the top of our list.

Mr. Latef was very helpful from the moment I booked. He was very flexible on terms and proposed me a few plans according to my request, feelings, and budget on my arrival. In fact, I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do, I just wanted to relax and enjoy nature in the quiet environment. I felt I could trust Mr. Latef as a person and 3 nights 4 days of my short Kashimir stay started. The people who he connected me to proceed with the trips were also very trustworthy and good. The houseboat is located in a quiet park of the lake overlooking the lotus ponds. It's spectacularly beautiful and hidden from the Lakeshore which is a madhouse. Boat rides to and from the houseboat are free. Host Tariq is well versed in dealing with foreign guests and is very helpful with arranging stuff. I understand he does excursions beyond srinagar and treks as well but unf there was no time for that. Location wise, I observed that up to about ghat 10 the houseboats are super near the Lakeshore. So, depending on whether you want convenience or privacy you can plan accordingly.
