One of my highlights of my 10 days of travel in Uganda was staying in Jinja at Home on the Nile. The location is incredible looking out over the water. It was very peaceful, and I loved relaxing and reading on the balcony. It's also close to the town centre and lovely cafes (for instance only a 20-minute walk or a very quick boda boda to The Deli). The staff were incredible -- extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. They made my stay memorable and helped to organize a white-water rafting trip for me. If I'm back in Jinja, I will always try to stay here!

The place is underrated yet amazing, with excellent staff and outstanding cleanliness! I stayed in a four-bed dorm with just my friend, so I can't speak for times when it's fully occupied.

We only stayed for one night, but had my plans not changed, I would have come here for a longer stay. The location is superb and great for people who enjoy walking. The breakfast was wonderful too.
