And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. If you’re looking for a spotless, perfectly located, safe, and beautifully run accommodation with a host who truly cares, look no further – this is the place! We would return in a heartbeat.

This recently renovated bed and breakfast is located 24 km from Pico do Ferro and 30 km from Fogo Lake. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. Christina was amazing and made our stay as comfortable as it gets! She took care everything we needed, such an amazing experience to get such a personal feeling. The room was very clean and beautiful. We loved staying so close to the ocean. Location was great to get anywhere in the middle / east side of the island. Breakfast was simple and everything you need to start of the day.

The jacuzzi and pool are excellent and we enjoyed relaxing out there.

It’s quite close walking distance to the main area. Near a pretty garden. Parking was always available in front of the hotel. The hot tub in the greenhouse was scenic and nice. The snack and coffee bar, breakfast were nicely stocked. The lounge area was cozy. It felt so welcoming and homey. I felt immediately relaxed being there. The check in process was streamlined, everything clear and convenient so that you basically just pick up the keys when you arrive. The room is set up wonderfully with plenty of places to put your bags, hang clothes, little tables in the right spots. Curtains to black out light. Netflix on tv, comfortable couch. Beautiful furniture. Everyone working there had such a great smile, were warm and seemed genuinely welcoming.

The breakfast is delicious, with eggs cooked to order, and they are open to requests, such as adding vegetable omelets or porriage to the menu. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The staff is very helpful with all types of advice. We could walk out to the water and to shops and restaurants. Much better than the TripAdviser #1-rated-hotel-on-the-island where we stayed later on.
