The House is very stylish and cozy. Even though the room is not big, but it is completely enough for a couple and it is very comfortable. Beautiful small yard! The owner was extremely helpful and on a request organized flowers and cake for my husband’s birthday❤️we stayed for four nights and even wanted to stay longer. Beach is nearby and close to home there are a lot of restaurants.

They can also arrange some activities for you, and you can do snorkeling starting from the beach 3 miin away if you have your equipment

Located just a 3‑minute stroll from the serene Nilaveli Beach, this cozy B&B is in a perfect spot for easy beach days and exploring nearby attractions like Pigeon Island National Park and the Kanniya Hot Springs . Our room was spacious – with a private bathroom, balcony overlooking the garden, crisp AC, reliable Wi‑Fi, and great comfort overall . It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . In short: Location: 2–3 minute walk to the beach, with easy access to local attractions Accommodation: Clean, comfortable rooms with AC, private bathroom, balcony/garden view Hosts: Exceptionally friendly, considerate, and accommodating Extras: Tasty breakfasts, reliable Wi‑Fi, bike/tuk‑tuk tours, laundry, on‑site parking We wholeheartedly recommend Suman Beach Rooms if you're after a genuine, comfortable, and caring place to stay in Nilaveli. We had a fantastic experience at Hilton cottage. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom has hot water. The owner friendly and always obliging. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff are lovely. It is close to the restaurants and easy walking distance to the beach. I would highly recommend Hilton cottage if you are looking for a quiet, pleasant stay in Trincomalee.

Rangan is a very nice and warmhearted host. He makes you feel like home. The facilites are simple but clean and comfortable. It has a beautiful garden around. The beach is close, 5 min walking. The snorkling we did with Rangan was great, I can really recommend. He even took time to go for a second round, because we liked it so much.

The previous review was mistakenly posted for a different property. This is the correct one. I stayed here in July with a last-minute booking, but the warm welcome made me feel right at home. Upon arrival, they helped me park and quickly showed me to my room, which was very clean. There’s no air conditioning, but a pleasant breeze comes through the window, and the mosquito net allowed me to sleep comfortably even though I usually dislike bugs. The hotel is in a great location—just a few minutes’ walk to the beach. Nearby, there are shops selling beer, wine, and ice, as well as a delicious and affordable Sri Lankan restaurant right next door (takeout available). There’s no fridge in the room, but the owner kindly let me use their family fridge to chill my drinks. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always around and ready to assist with anything. As a guest, I could book snorkeling tours to Pigeon Island and dolphin & whale watching trips at a special rate. Even same-day bookings were arranged smoothly, including transport to the meeting point. Communication via WhatsApp was easy and efficient. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back next time I visit Sri Lanka. Thank you to the owner and the whole family for a lovely time!
