The ceiling fan was not functioning but they gave us a stand fan, which worked. But what made this place stand out is the very accommodating nature of Dimu and his staff. The breakfast was also delicious, the dhal curry is to die for. They also offered private transfer to neighbouring towns at affordable prices. They also offer affordable but very experienced safari guide (Sumudu) - we saw elephants at places where no one else was there. Definitely worth booking if you’re going for the safari!

Jungle View River Camping has river views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Udawalawe, 15 km from Udawalawe National Park. This guest house offers a garden. The guest house features family rooms. Nice tent house, really friendly and welcoming hosts. We were greated by a welcome drink, the family cooked us a really nice 4 curry dinner. They also helped us organise a safari trip and gave us a king coconut on our way out. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Highly recommend.
