Haran the manager and all of the staff were wonderful. Haran went above and beyond our expectations, he was very thoughtful and helpful in getting us everything we needed to feel at home. We traveled around Sri Lanka and of all the places we stayed at, we enjoyed Allen's the most. All worked as described, Allen was ready to help with anything, breakfasts were tasteful and fruit-ful, even wifi worked well (very uncommon during the majority of our other stays). Plus the place is clean and has a cool and laid-back vibe and Allen is a kind host. Fully recommended! Thank you, Allen!

If you are looking for an authentic Jaffna homestay you will not do better than Berty’s cottage. Our hosts Hilda and Berty were just wonderful in every respect. Hilda is a wealth of knowledge about the local area and helped us to plan our days in Jaffna. Berty is a wonderful host and an incredible cook who made delicious breakfast. These varied each day and were delicious . The guest house was comfortable. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We had such a wonderful stay at Nallarun illam! My husband, two children and I shared a family room, and we had ample space and ample air conditioning. The room is off of a shared kitchen/lounge space and a balcony, which was really nice for preparing snacks and relaxing. Everything was very clean and nicely situated. The biggest highlight of this place was our wonderful hosts. The host family could not have been more gracious. We happened to be in Jaffna for the new year, and they took us under their wing, sharing their traditions (including treats, dressing, a visit to the temple and fireworks at night). Their sweet kids played with our kids and, all in all, they made us feel completely at home in this beautiful city. We're very grateful for their generosity and hospitality and would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

This is such a lovely, comfortable place to stay. Jaffna hospitality! Beautiful house and grounds, large, comfortable room. Ravi and Kandiah graciously respond to all requests. We ended up eating not only breakfast at home but most dinners as well. Highly recommend.

Raj was very friendly and helpful in giving any advice and making sure everyone had a good stay. Breakfast costs 900 LKR, can choose a couple of options and get large portions of home cooked delicious food. There's a couple of good places nearby to buy bakery items and get meals.
