The breakfast that Arnold made was amazing and I really liked the vibe of the place. There were plenty of dining places nearby and all of the host's recommendation was 10 on 10.

The staff were so wonderful and went above and beyond to look after guests and the rooms and shared spaces are beautifully styled and really comfortable. I spent a lot of time on the rooftop enjoying the view. I had 3 fans in my room which was great as I didn't get any of the cool breeze that came through the upper floors at night (I was on the lowest guest floor and facing another building).

There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

Popular points of interest near the bed and breakfast include 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Lamu Museum and Lamu Fort. We were picked from the airport by Safari which was extremely helpful, otherwise we would have never found the accommodation :D We were very much welcomed with some wet towers and coconut water, great after a flight on a warm weather. Everyone was extremely nice and I loved the culture of the house, we needed to wash some cloths and no money was asked, they gave us lot of recommendations and the best part: even with a short notice asking for dinner in the accommodation for that night, we had the best meal in Kenya and the best fish ever!! Please reserve at least one meal there!

Katana my host at Samaki House was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable of the area. We had lovely conversations and he made a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the room and the my overall experience at the house, I will definitely stay again!
