First of all we had a phone catastrophe and thus couldn't communicate via booking.com. Antonio instantly adapted, seemed to genuinely sympathize (which helped!) and proactively put us in touch with a nearby repair store owned by a friend of his. Imagine our surprise when we went to the shop and right on our heels the owner arrived, greeted us warmly, issued instructions to the pleasant and helpful technician, and zipped off. It felt like VIP treatment and was all the more helpful because all the Italians spoke perfect English, easing our stress when that was much needed. For the rest of our stay Antonio checked in regularly to see if we had questions or needed anything, and he was always instantly responsive to any queries. Apart from all that, the common area was a lovely amenity, with juices and milk for coffee in the refrigerator.
