The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral. The property offers an onsite bakery, an artisan grocery store and a take away breakfast and lunch served daily. Loved everything, location, attention to detail, comfort.

Breakfast was delicious and served at your table by very professional staff. The room was amazing with a spectacular view of the perfectly groomed garden and Kilkenny Castle. The location made it easy to see all of the main sites within the townsite and is close to many great pubs and restaurants. A river walk is minutes away and there are plenty of quality shops. Highly recommend fish and chips at Matt the Millar's, just down the hill.

Located just off the M7 motorway, the Silken Thomas Accommodation Accommodation is less than a 10 minute walk from Kildare Village Chic Outlet Shopping and 15 minutes from the Irish National Stud. Whitewater Shopping Centre, the Curragh Racecourse and Newbridge Silverware are less than a 10 minute drive away. I liked the way the room was set up. It had a convenient writing desk, place to hang my clothes, and very comfortable bed. The heat in the room was perfect. The warm drying racks in the bathroom kept the towels dry and warm. The room was on the main level, so I could easily access it with my suitcases.

The Dining Room serves traditional and continental breakfasts, which feature homemade chutneys, banana bread and scones. Afternoon tea can be taken in the elegant Drawing Room. This fine establishment maintains all the charms of a traditional manner house, yet the interiors of the guest rooms are all refurbished, modernized, clean, neat, and beautiful. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. We stayed a total of 4 nights here and enjoyed our stay very much.

There is a bus stop opposite Donnybrook Hall, with regular Aircoach services running to and from the airport and the city centre. Luggage storage is available at the hotel.

This family-run guest house has rooms with good-quality beds, mattress hygiene care and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a comfortable sitting room for guests to relax in. Very nice people, gave the feeling to be home away frim home. Bus stations are close, supermarket and bakery, restaurant round the corner. Great place!

County Carlow Military Museum is 40 km from the bed and breakfast, while Carlow Golf Range incorp. Ian Kerr Golf Academy is 41 km from the property. Cleanliness and location was fantastic.
