Staff were exceptional..always cheerful and willing to help. Changed breakfast when they realised we weren't eating the bread and sweet foods and provided fresh fruit, yoghurt salad and eggs instead. Highly recommend Hotel Kastro.

The free parking spot was a much appreciated feature and the communication with the staff was excellent.

The rooms are equipped with a patio. Everything was wonderful - the breakfast, the room and most of all the staff at this family owned inn. The people were some of the kindest, most generous that we’ve met in our travels. One son speaks fluent English but even with limited English the other family members were helpful and welcoming. We were able to keep our room on checkout day since we had a late flight to Athens. Ask for a quiet room if you want to be away from the busy street between Virsa and the lake. The family has a little bar/cafe in front. Enter there for a welcome coffee and lovely people, then enjoy a bright and spacious room with a nice little balcony. There are stairs but family will help with luggage.

The host was superb. You could walk directly from the property and into hiking trails. The nearby restaurants had fantastic food.
