Corran Bunkhouse is set in Lochaber near Onich, on the banks of Loch Linnhe. This charming property offers rooms set in a former bunkhouse with a steam room and kitchen. Free private parking is available on site for all guests. The property was in a beautiful location and close to Fort William’s. The owners have thought about absolutely everything and my partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The common area is bright and you feel welcomed and at home. Everything is clean and every amenity you could ask for is provided and thought of with great care.

Situated in the town of Pitlochry, Atholl Villa Guest House is a privately owned Victorian building, offering views of Ben Vrackie. It has free parking and retains many original features, such as open fireplaces and wooden sash windows. Located on the main street of Pitlorchry, this awesome guest house is so beautiful and we wished we could stay atleast another night. The family room with a double bed and 2 twins was simply the best. It was facing the street and the opposite side has a lovely piece of artwork. They have the best garden of the entire street. The villa is also the best architecturally.

Just a few steps from Anstruther’s harbour and marina, with views over the Firth of Forth, The Waterfront offers 4-star bed and breakfast accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Its à la carte restaurant has a charming modern glass and timber frontage. The location was terrific. Right across from the harbour. Parking was a little frustrating as in most tourist destinations everywhere. The first night I purposely didn't arrive until around 5pm so did not have too much problems. The second day I had to park over a km away. Then before dinner I walked back and moved my car close to the hotel so it was easier packing up in the morning. This is a fantastic ambient renovated hotel. There were a number of different rooms in different sections of the premises. I was on the first floor on one section with a window overlooking a courtyard. This was a smaller room with a large single very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom had been very tastefully renovated and I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay. The meals in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were delicious and varied. I did not bother trying anywhere else. I will certainly go and stay here again when I move back to Scotland permanently in a couple of months.

The Loch Ness Inn is located in the village of Lewiston, near the Great Glen Way. It offers rooms with free WiFi and free parking. The property is 0.7 miles from Drumnadrochit and 1.5 miles from Urquhart Castle. The beds were very comfortable , the carpet and the duvets too. Very clean place.

Everything, very nice lady was very accommodating even had a small decanter of whiskey at the bedside nice touch access to the kitchen and the dining area during the stay and parking was on the street right by the front door
