This accommodation definitely exceeded all our expectations. The units are just like in the pictures. Everything is extremely clean and breakfasts were incredibly yummy. We loved the sounds of nature at night and it didn't bother us at all. We loved the warm water coming out of the shower too. This is probably the best accommodation we have had in our entire lives. It is definitely worth the experience. Mauricio and his wife are wonderful hosts who will make your stay PERFECT.

Very cute hotel, close to the beach, and the staff was amazing and always available to help. The rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and the restaurant/bar fairly priced.

Rooms are really comfortable, each one has its own terrace, the garden is really spacious, the pool is really nice, and the location is perfect, really close to all the restaurants and the beach but still really quite. The owner was also really kind so everything was perfect !

A mysterious place where nothing is missing. Decorated with ideas and everything necessary. A wonderful garden with a huge number of flowers. Very clean. A delicious breakfast prepared with love, a wide range of cheeses, cold meats, fruit, juices and warm bread. Beautiful rich scrambled eggs with avocado. Very nice and cheerful owners. The facility is located very close to the beach.

The place is beautiful, just a few steps from the beach, surrounded by charming restaurants and a wonderful beach for walks. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere they create in their home is fantastic. A cozy pool, delicious breakfasts, very clean and beautiful. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

Casa Barbara was by far our favorite spot during our trip to DR. If you've ever traveled in DR before & experienced what lodgings here are like (even those at the high end of the price scale), you'll no doubt appreciate the following: *Piping hot shower that worked every time, always with good pressure. *Everything in the room is perfectly maintained & there's a clear attention to detail that we never saw anywhere else. Not a single thing in the room was broken or missing :) *The property was set back from the main road so there's zero noise of motorbikes (it is truly SILENT at night) *This was literally the only place we stayed in the DR where we were never once disturbed by barking dogs at night (there are 6 very sweet dogs on the property, but they sleep indoors). Likewise, never once heard a rooster. *The bed actually had a blanket (!!) & 4 very comfortable pillows *Owned by an incredibly sweet Italian couple - Alessandra speaks perfect English, making it easy for non Spanish speakers. And she was super responsive & always easy to reach in Whatsapp. All in all a fantastic stay - I rarely say this, but there was literally not a single thing I'd change about this place. 10/10 for the property, service, owners, everything. Thanks again for having us!

CHALET TROPICAL Hotel & Restaurant-Pizzeria is 700 metres from La Playita Beach and features a rustic décor. Fantastic healthy hot breakfast delivered each morning. Danny led a fun ATV tour to 5 beaches. A great day activity and great value. Owner Sara was very helpful when I needed a doctor, local recommendations, tips on area, taxis. Beautiful tropical property w natural plants, ambiance lights, waterfalls. Felt like a peaceful tropical paradise. Attentive cleaning staff and entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals at restaurant were very tasty, good prices, lovely atmosphere.

Our stay at this villa just outside Las Terrenas was truly special. The house sits high on a mountain overlooking the town and the sea, a peaceful spot, yet only a short drive from the center. The hosts welcomed us with genuine warmth and were ready to help with anything we needed, from local tips to directions. Their friendliness really made us feel at home. The view is absolutely breathtaking the photos don’t do it justice. Whether during the day with the ocean in the distance or at night with the city lights below, it’s spectacular. The villa has plenty of space to relax. The rooms are simple but have everything you need: a comfortable bed, hot shower, and airconditioning. At night you’ll hear the full soundtrack of the tropics frogs, crickets, and other wildlife which adds to the experience. The hosts live on the property and have a few friendly animals, which gives it a genuine BnB atmosphere rather than a standard rental feel. Breakfast was one of the highlights: fresh fruit, pancakes, homemade bread, juice, coffee or tea, and eggs cooked to your liking by the host. A perfect way to start the day while enjoying the view. Overall, this was a peaceful and memorable stay, ideal for travelers who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and still be close enough to explore Las Terrenas. Highly recommended!
