We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. Bonus points for su madre and for showing us our first sloth! 😊 Gracias por todo!

We had a lovely time at Siquirres Mountain Lodge. Inge and her family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property and grounds are beautiful. It’s a few miles out of Siquirres but easy to get to by car, and only 10 mins away from the starting point for our white water rafting trip (with Exploradores - which we would also highly recommend! 😄). There is a nice local restaurant less than 5 mins walk down the road, where we ate on both nights. We also took Inge’s horses out for a guided ride which was a lovely experience with beautiful views over the hills to Turialba. All in all a wonderful couple of days - and we would recommend very highly. Thank you! 😄

The highlights were the beautiful villa like property, the easy use of AC anytime without issues, and the delicious breakfast made specially for us. Also the hospitality and flexibility offered to us by Valerie was such a bonus! Location cannot be understated, less than 10 minutes walk to beach!

The hosts were wonderful, so attentive to everyone‘s needs. The property is perfectly located close enough but tucked away from the main road. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms spacious and airy. The breakfast was delicious. Two pools that were impeccably clean. The hosts made you feel at home right away and gave great tips for places and restaurants.
