The owner and his mum were so welcoming and helpful! They made us great breakfast and accommodated for us being vegan. The hostel is in a pretty location and it has a nice chilled vibe. It's clean and comfortable too.

Located within a few steps of Negra and 25 km of Jaguar Rescue Center, Casa Caribbean Coconut provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Cahuita. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was also excellent but not open all the time. Pool was a nice area to chill. Beach only steps away.

All units feature a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. We had a lovely time at Siquirres Mountain Lodge. Inge and her family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property and grounds are beautiful. It’s a few miles out of Siquirres but easy to get to by car, and only 10 mins away from the starting point for our white water rafting trip (with Exploradores - which we would also highly recommend! 😄). There is a nice local restaurant less than 5 mins walk down the road, where we ate on both nights. We also took Inge’s horses out for a guided ride which was a lovely experience with beautiful views over the hills to Turialba. All in all a wonderful couple of days - and we would recommend very highly. Thank you! 😄

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Tortuguero, near Tortuguero Beach, Cabinas Tortuguero Sports Fishing features free WiFi, a private beach area and a garden. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Primo and his wife welcomed us perfectly, taking care of all our needs, recommending good restaurants and a tour guide. The tranquility and atmosphere around were exactly what we needed after landing in Costa Rica.

The air-conditioned units have a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, an oven, coffee machine, and a toaster. With a private bathroom equipped with a bath and bathrobes, units at the bed and breakfast also provide guests with free WiFi, while some rooms come with a balcony. At the bed and breakfast, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. Such a lovely and welcoming place. The accommodation is very clean, spacious and the hostess thought of the smallest things to make sure you will enjoy your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, I regretted I only booked one night and would definitely recommend Casa Luce!

At the inn, the rooms have a patio with a river view. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Cabañas Daneysha also feature a mountain view. All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. The lodging was super, Gloria is a great host and we also took morning tour around Tortuguero Canals with Asley and he was simply amazing, he knows so much about the area, about all the species of animals and plants, any of his tours would be great choice.

Very well kept with everything you might need. Easy to check in / out. Nice balcony. Situated close to the center of the town and on top of a small bakery with very friendly staff.

Sightseeing tours are available within a reachable distance. Kids pool is also available at the bed and breakfast, while guests can also relax in the garden. We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bamboo. Tonet & Nadia are exceptional hosts who made sure we felt welcome and were available all the time throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day and laundry service was included, which was very valuable for us as a family with a small kid. The hosts even offered us sweet pancakes for breakfast some of the days, which was a very nice gesture. They also helped us figuring out the transport from San Jose to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and connecting us with the driver directly, which was very helpful. All in all our stay has been great and we highly recommend Tonet and Nadia’s Black Bamboo for a nice and relaxing stay on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

A patio with garden views is offered in all units. The units feature a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. We just stayed for one night while traveling but we would have stayed longer had we known the place before! Klaus is an amazingly friendly host. He took a lot of time to show us the property, served excellent breakfast and offered dinner and was all around pleasant. The guest house is well built and comfortable. There is a lot of forest in the area that you can probably go hiking in (we haven't tried given the brevity of our stay).
