The accommodation is in a very quiet and pleasant area, but still close to everything. It’s easy to reach, and the ocean is just a short walk away. The room was very clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Primo and his family are lovely people and were very helpful to make our trip a very nice stay for us as family with two teenage daughters. It's a place where you can enjoy the quietness in the middle of the beautiful nature. A nice breakfast, great excursions with Angelo as local guide, ....

All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. Family owned business: Hosts are great providing information about the area (we had also a guided tour of Tortuguero with him). Apartment super clean and nice place outside in the garden to rest. Location: San Fracisco which is calmer and more authentic compared to Tortuguero village

We loved the closeness to town and the bakery, as well as the discount at the bakery. It was a very cozy spot and the bedrooms were great and very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bamboo. Tonet & Nadia are exceptional hosts who made sure we felt welcome and were available all the time throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day and laundry service was included, which was very valuable for us as a family with a small kid. The hosts even offered us sweet pancakes for breakfast some of the days, which was a very nice gesture. They also helped us figuring out the transport from San Jose to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca and connecting us with the driver directly, which was very helpful. All in all our stay has been great and we highly recommend Tonet and Nadia’s Black Bamboo for a nice and relaxing stay on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

Spent two nights, would visit again.
