Close to the historic Old Town of Winterthur. Our hosts were wonderful, lots of knowledge of the area and very willing to share their knowldge if requested. Breakfast was great, all organic, and lots of room to dine. Added bonus; we stayed here at the end of our trip and it was just a short train ride from Zurich Airport for our return flight.

EMMA Bett und Bistro is 600 metres from Winterthur Train Station. Numerous museums including the Art Museum and the Photo Museum are within 800 metres from the bed & breakfast. I stayed in the garden room which was quite simple but lovely, with private access to a beautiful green garden with several places to sit. Though the B&B is in the middle of the old town, the room was blissfully quiet, even when the garden doors and windows were open. Room had a small fridge, kettle with tea/coffee, and plates and cutlery for 2, plus a small table and 2 chairs - so one could easily bring in food and be able to eat in comfort. The staff were super-friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely stay again if the opportunity arises. BTW, the cheesecake in their cafe is heavenly!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, B&B Bad Tiefenau, HAUS AN DER QUELLE is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Elgg, 34 km from Zurich Exhibition Hall. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The hosts are absolutely fabulous. Their open and friendly way made our stay a absolute treat. The house, the rooms, the garden and location along with a fabulous breakfast made the stay simply perfect

The accommodation provides free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a traditional restaurant. The owner of this establishment was most helpful to me. Fantastic rural location yet close to the main town. Good restaurant, sadly no breakfast available. Definitely can recommend this place.

What can I say but Thank you to the most amazing hosts in their beautiful home. Nothing was too much effort, from letting us park our motorbikes in their garage to the best breakfast spread on the trip 😍. The loft rooms were originally built for their children but they let them out to travellers. The house is very eclectic and filled with memories of bygone times and is fascinating. Very special people, thank you again it was a pleasure to meet you both.
