We stayed at Lazy Lion for two nights. The setup was really comfortable and the host made it an incredible experience. They shared their insights on Knysna and South Africa and helped us refine our itenary for better. Interior was very interesting and the room was perfect with an amazing view of “Two Heads”. We loved our morning and evening teas on the balcony. The Breakfast menu was thoughtful of our vegan lifestyle. My wife became a full fan of their home prepared granola.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Knysna, this is it! Vanessa and Trevor were so incredibly accommodating, I felt right at home. The room had everything we needed - recommendations for things to do, a lovely private outdoor seating area, heavenly bed and linens, and the most thoughtful finishing touches! The location was perfect, close to town yet in a quiet area. You can see the golf course from the house and the view was incredible. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The family does everything with a lot of love. They are extremely friendly and are always ready to help. The rooms are spotless and fully equipped. It is a place where you feel at home. The breakfast is incredible, everything is homemade, and some food even from a garden. I returned already and will return every time possible, 100%. Great location with a beautiful view. The room was perfect (Presidential Suite) for us and our 2 kids. When we arrived they immediately gave us a box with kids toys. There is also a play area outside for the kids.

Staying at Mount joy was even better than we could have imagined. We enjoyed the view over the lagoon a lot and were crazy about dog Gilbert. He's an angel.
