This lodge is absolutely spectacular and very unique. Xavier, the owner, is phenomenal. Peter and I had great discussions with him. Lots of fun and laughter. He is an extremely interesting person. Superb food. Great surroundings. The "golden wildebeests" and the "kissing giraffe" on the property are very special. Noteworthy are the 1928 Bugatti and the Triumph motorcycle in the living room. There are vintage cars all over the property. I have never seen a more interesting place like the Hippomoon Lodge. As a world traveller I must admit that this is one of the most spectacular, interesting and fun place I have ever stayed at. Highly recommendable!!!!!! Thanks Xavier!

Very friendly, very clean room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was super as well with fresh coffee from fresh beans. Room does have a window to the reservat side so you can spot animals. Pool is clean as well. Reservat offers different animals to enjoy like giraffes, antelope... Safety gate at entrance and asphalt roads. Short distance tu Kruger NP. We would stay there again.

Fabulous property located right in the nature reserve, safe and so much to do there including walking with wildlife! Totally wish we had stayed longer and will definitely be back. Highest recommendation.

Great accommodation and rooms(suites), friendly and helpful staff and owner, amazing breakfast and options, even a packed breakfast was prepared upon request as we left very early the day we checked out. Overal a great stay, we will visit again on a next occasion.

Good location for various day-trips in the area. We ate at the restaurant both evenings and although the service was a bit slow (as seems normal in South Africa), the food was good. The breakfast was fantastic. They give you a generous credit towards whatever you want on the menu.
