A beautiful property in a lovely location. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was tasty. Our first taste of pumpkin pancakes in keeping with the time of the visit and they tasted great!

The property was escribed by its owners as "elegant." It was not. Although the room was very large, it the furnishings looked old, much used, and out of date. The bathroom was OK, nothing special. The A/C worked well and was not noisy. The TV was OK and easy to use. The mattress was memory foam, I believe, which made it hard to move around on it. The hallway leading to the room smelled like old wet carpet and /or cleaning liquid. The yellow caution strip on the floor near the stairs was covered up by a rug and caused us to stumble over it. Someone should check daily that the rug doesn't cover the strip, or someone will fall and hid their head on the wrought-iron banister.
We were not told when checking in that the room key was for the lock in the handle, not the lock above the handle. So we thought the key did not work after trying it in the upper lock and did not see the lower lock since the area was dimly lit. A little note on the door or being told when checking in would have helped us. That was not a good introduction to our stay after driving on a hot day for 5 hours.
I would not return to this property, though I might return to its restaurant, where the service and food were very good.

Kris and Fred were such gracious, down to earth hosts. We loved their beautiful Victorian house and all of its charms. The breakfast was delightful, and the cookies? To die for. Amenities were plentiful and excellent, and signage was outstanding. We loved our whole experience!

We were there because of my son's baseball tournament at Cooperstown Dream Park for the week. We enjoyed the quiet and the views of the lake when we walked around the motel. The employees were very friendly and helpful throughout the property. We would definitely stay here next time we have to go to Cooperstown.
We absolutely adored this little motel. We were visiting Cooperstown and decided to stay outside the town. The room was clean, comfortable, affordable, and we had a lovely view of the lake. Our room was on the end closest to the road with a little private patio. The staff were very kind and welcoming. In the warmer months, there is a beach across the road you can access.
