Hrabusice is the best base for a visit to Slovensky Raj and exploring the Spis region. Some hiking trails (Hornad canyon, Sucha Bela) are walking distance from the village, for the rest you would need a car as public transport is limited outside summer holidays. Due to some mix up with the booking Peter (the host) arranged for us to stay in an apartment in another part of the village. It was an upgrade as we had a whole very comfy apartment with kitchen to ourselves. Communication with Peter was fast and reliable and the proposed solution more than satisfactory! Tip for visitors: since April 2024 local tourist tax (2 euros per person per night) allows free entry to paid sites in Slovensky Raj and includes insurance for mountain rescue costs.

The place is located right at the entrance of Slovensky Raj national park, its very convenient. Also the views are amazing, you see the High Tatras from the building. The staff is very helpful and flexible (we requested the wellnes area for 18:00-20:00, but we were late; the hosts made no problem of it and let us use the facility). The breakfast is good, maybe the variety could be improved.

Three fridges with freezers, two cookers, plenty of pots, cups, plates, etc. Common area with fireplace, TV, table football and self-service beer machine.
