The place was newly renovated by the entire family and was very charming and welcoming. We had the smaller room but this wasn’t a problem as it had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good and the sisters running the place were lovely. We highly recommend!!

Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!
