It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.

Everything was just wonderful, the room was cozy and bright. The bed was massive and comfy ish. There a fridge near the kitchen that you can put your stuff in. And breakfast is lovely too. Definitely be coming back 😊 Oh and the cats name is Tacha, and she sooo sweet

Booked on short notice, no problems - the key was ready at our arrival! And what a view!!! High up on a mountain side overlooking the valley and ocean towards the east, making you setting the alarm clock early the next morning so you won't miss the sunrise! And the breakfast! Friendly and welcoming staff and eating as much as you can - nothing left to wish for! The host, Dieter, welcomed everyone personally at breakfast and we had a nice chat about this marvelous place.

If you're staying in Madeira, this residence is an excellent option! It was very clean and spacious with all of its amenities accurately described in the rental posting. While it's up in the mountains, grocery stores, bars/cafes, and a gas station are all only a short drive away. There is a breathtaking viewpoint of the mountains nearby and even the view from your back patio & front patio are great! The few requests and questions we had were promptly addressed by the host who was superbly accommodating. Enjoy Madeira!

The property is about a 30-minute drive from Funchal airport. The closest town (Ribeira Brava) is about 5 minutes away by car, but much longer walking, and there is a very steep slope up to the house. We really enjoyed the view, the pool, the garage (parking in Madeira is sometimes tricky to find). The house is exceptionally equipped and kept in very good condition. The villa is centrally located on the Southern coast. It's close to a North-South route across the center of the island, and also close to the East-West route. This means you are always no more than 1 hour away from all points on the island (even the most remote ones). One thing to note, there are not a lot of eating places within walking distance, but there are a lot of options in Ribeira Brava. We are definitely thinking about renting this place again on a future trip!
