I recently stayed at Summer Days for three nights, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The property is located about 15 minutes away from Puerto Princesa Airport, making it very convenient to reach. Check-in was smooth and quick, which is always a plus after a long journey. Location & Ambiance: Nestled on a quiet street, Summer Days offers a serene environment with only about 8 rooms, which adds to the intimate and cozy feel. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas at their café, and the outdoor space is truly beautiful. They’ve created a lush, green mini-forest on the property where you can often spot little birds. Waking up to the sound of chirping birds was a highlight for me. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Summer Days is exceptional. They made me feel like royalty with their welcoming and attentive service. The customer service here is on another level – they really go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. They even organized a transfer to El Nido for me for just ₱700, and it was done effortlessly. Food & Drink: The breakfast was always served hot and fresh, accompanied by complimentary rice cakes, which were delicious. I also often ordered their sandwiches, cheese sticks, hot potato chips, and lemonade. Everything was freshly made and served hot. A standout for me was that they had a halal chicken option for the sandwiches, which was a pleasant surprise! Their lemonade, mint mocha, and matcha frappe are highly recommended. Rooms: The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities you might need. A large glass door in my room allowed me to look out onto the beautiful plants outside, which made the stay even more peaceful. They also offer free room service, and you can pre-order your breakfast to be served in the café or in your room at your preferred time.

The location was a wonderful surprise at the end of the road to Hartman beach. A well-groomed beach among the creatively made and enchanting bamboo lodgings greeted us. Staff had ensured our pickup from the airport was smooth even though we weren't quite in the right place. A cozy bamboo courtyard with artwork, sitting spots, hammocks, a bar, tourist information, handy kitchen and ample showers and toilets greeted us. Looking out to sea, the calming waves and clear water invited us to explore. Yes, at some times of day the water is cloudy as the tide comes in an out. That added to the adventure and anticipation of when it'd be clear again. Sunsets and sunrises were bar-none! All of the staff at Bamboo Nest, including Jonathan and Tina the owners, were incredibly personable, courteous, fun, and helped us in all sorts of ways to make it the best stay. The smoothness and help with tours and so on made it easy. Being invited to eat meals together, and jam, spending evenings singing and drumming with our hosts was fabulous. The intrigue, romance, functionality and friendliness of Bamboo Nest exceeded our expectations.

Very friendly and helpful host. Comfortable and homely! Lovely breakfast too! The host helped us to sort our transfer to El Nido as well. Please do not prebook the underground river tours online before coming, you’ll spend much more than if you buy it here! We prebooked online and it was expensive. The host said she could’ve organised it for us for much less!!

I absolutely loved the staff! They really made the experience unforgettable. The pool and outdoor shower were amazing too, but the staff truly made the stay special. The children were so sweet, and we were thrilled to be around the pets, which helped ease the homesickness for our own cat and dog. We quickly became like family—everyone was warm, kind, and so attentive. We had so much fun learning about the local culture and sharing our own stories. The location was also perfect; it was close to everything but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city and nightlife. Jin was always there to help with any questions or guide us in the right direction. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and connection. Thank you so much, Jin! If we ever come back, we’d love to catch up again. You truly deserve a triple bonus for all the care and love you give—you're a real gem!
