As stated by others, Guadalupe is the kindest host you could wish for. She arranged transportations from and to the airport and wake up very early in the morning (twice!) to prepared us a freshly made and delicious breakfast. It was nice to receive such a warm welcome for our first nights in Peru!

I loved my stay here! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful - Renzo gave me lots of tips for exploring Lima, lent me a bike from the hotel to explore the waterfront, and was nice enough to allow a late checkout at no extra cost so I could store my bags in my room until my late night flight. The breakfasts were delicious and the woman who prepared them was so sweet and went to great lengths to let me try all sorts of new Peruvian foods and drinks. The room was clean and comfortable and I slept great. The place is also beautifully decorated. There was tea available at all times and even frozen grapes. This place felt like a peaceful oasis in the heart of Miraflores after a long trip. Thank you Casona Azul - I hope to be back :)

The host provided a lot of info before and during the stay. Very clean room in an elegant building. The room is in an apartment with beautiful paintings. They stored tour luggage for the full day and permitted to use the toilet before to leave for the airport. The room is in front of Kennedy park, fulcrum of Miraflores.

The minute you walk in, you know it's a special place. Location is on the Miraflores end of Barranco, but down a side street away from all the hustle and bustle of both. Easy 20min walk to either town center, and to the Parque Kennedy. Delightful terrace up top for relaxing. House cats aplenty, some that will come say hello and beg for pets, some a bit more cautious. Included breakfast was fabulous. A fried egg with local bread, butter, and homemade jam, a bowl of fresh cut fruit, and tea or coffee. A good mix of Travellers, some backpackers, some traveling through learning Spanish, everyone extremely friendly. But the highlight has to be Luz and her family, that really put the family in the name of the hostel. The very first thing she said - ¡mostly en Espanol! - when we arrived is that in Peru, speaking English only is not good, you need to speak Spanish! And you immediately knew that she wasn't being rude, or to make you feel bad, but she says it out of love and wanting her guests to get the best out of their stay in Lima and Peru! And of course, she was 100% correct! Gave us the best recommendations for food, and also helped us organize an early 3am airport transfer and some great tips for our hike to Machu Picchu (coca extract capsules were excellent!). ¡Muchas gracias Luz!
