The stay at Riva was a highlight of my trip to Central America. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with kindness from Gabrielle. He showed us around and was the best host. We enjoyed the views, location and the communal atmosphere of the house. We enjoyed the interactions with other guests and loved the fresh breakfast every morning. I would recommend RIVA to anyone!

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about the most amazing hotel experience we ever had - it was like paradise on steroids! First of all, the location was killer. Right in front of the beach with waves crashing, it was so surreal and peaceful (no need for a white noise machine like I do in Brooklyn). I felt like a mermaid basking in the sun, with the ocean as my soundtrack, while the cutest baby sloths, colorful birds, and other amazing animals were doing their thing, adding to the beauty. It was like living in a Disney movie! But let me tell you, it was the hosts (Simon and Wendy) who really stole the show. These guys were the most adorable, hilarious and attentive people I've ever met. They had us in stitches every day, cracking jokes and making sure we were having the time of our lives. I felt like I was staying with family! The staff (that are like family to Wendy and Simon) was equally amazing - always friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. And let's not forget about the hotel's furry ambassadors, the cutest dogs ever: Jack and Lucky! They were so friendly, and I swear I sometimes spent more time petting them than sunbathing. Honestly, I never wanted to leave this place. I could have stayed forever, sipping on spicy Margaritas, doing my morning meditation on the beach and listening to the waves. If you're looking for a fun and unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend this hotel. You won't regret it! Oh and the restaurant of the hotel is the best too, will need another review on that.

1. Location: This place is paradise. The views from the terrace are incredible. They have a beautiful garden which is very much jungle. It comes with lots of pretty birds, monkeys, sloths, fruits and flowers. It's also very quiet (besides the sound of nature). 2. Food: There's nothing about the food that could be improved. Breakfast was incredible, with lots of fruit, and so was every other meal I had. Judith really places a lot of importance on the quality of the ingredients. Considering the quality it comes at a very good price. Great juices and I in particular loved the homemade hot chocolate. 3. Hosts: Judith and Fabrice are so nice and friendly. And really went out of their way to make sure that I had a great time there. For example when I mentioned to Judith how much I loved her chocolate she made sure there was some for every meal. 4. Comfort: It really is hotel standard which I found astonishing given that they are in the jungle. Hot water, very clean room and bathroom, great bed. And it was all done by someone with really good taste. Each room also has a lovely terrace with comfortable chairs and hammock and great view.

A chance for a free chocolate farm tour to better understand the process from tree nut to chocolate cake. We had an amazing family holiday at Bluff Beach Retreat! Augusto and Anita and all staff are doing an excellent job to care for their guests. We felt very welcome, received many helpful recommendations and enjoyed the extremely delicious breakfast. Our room was clean at all times and very spacious for us three. There are only very few mosquitos, we felt safe and the beach right at across the road (which was not busy) was beautiful. Unlike some other hotels around here, ours was always quiet with only nature sounds to hear which we enjoyed. No music all day long, no queuing at the pool and the other guests were very friendly and nice to talk to. Make sure to do some grocery shopping before coming to the hotel as there are no shops around. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back one day to this paradise place.
