We were made to feel very welcome. Had the place to ourselves most of the time we were there. Breakfast was delicious and varied (loved the home-made ham and cheese breakfast muffins). Comfortable beds. Everything was very clean and tidy. The walk-in shower was lovely. The huge garden with its palm trees and numerous other plants were a please to spend time in. The well set-up, shaded deck area was wonderful for relaxing in. The pool table was great fun in the evenings. It was only a 10 minute drive to Paihia and 15 to Kerikeri, which was very convenient. We booked all 3 rooms, so basically had the house and gardens to ourselves, which made great value for money. The hosts, who have many years of hospitality experience, were wonderful and very interesting people. I and my family loved our stay and we shall stay there again. Highly recommended :-)

The views from the room were amazing! We were living in the tree tops! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower room. The kitchen area was well-equipped and we were able to make our breakfast at our leisure and to sit looking at another amazing view. We had a wonderful stay with Richard and are already booked to return.

We liked Bellrock Lodge and this little village so much, we even extended our stay! :) It is worth staying longer in Kororareka Russell and especially at Bellrock Lodge, so let us tell you why: Bellrock Lodge is situated on a little hill (if you walk, there are a few steep meters) and because of that, you will have the most amazing views from your terrace over the coast. On clear days you will even see as far as Waitangi. The apartment and the terrace are quite spacious, even the bathroom offers more than usual space in rental properties. It is very nice equipped. The garden is beautiful so you also see beautiful garden greenery from the terrace. The hosts Catherine and Stuart are very kind and responded fast via WhatsApp. Their sweet dog Piper was also a great host and excited to offer play time with her favorite football and such :D Catherine and Stuart were always very hospitable, so for instance, if you get in a morning rain like us, getting new towels is easy peasy, just a message/call away ;-) The Lodge offers great amendities: laundry, dryer, DVD Library (great selection, we loved it), CD and Book Library aswell... To top it off, the Whirlpool and BBQ area are great, with superb views also. We loved to enjoy the Spa, especially on rainy days. In addition to that, we highly appreciated how thoughtful everything is equipped, there are umbrellas in the driveway, wineglasses from plastic for the Spa, different chairs (even comfy reading/TV chairs), more than 2 different towel sizes and many more things like that.. We have travelled a lot and Bellrock Lodge is one of our favorites. You nearly forget, that you are at a self-service accomendation because everything is so thoughtfully done. Thank you Catherine & Stuart! P.s. It is worth staying longer, you can experience a lot in the area, walk to the beaches from Bellrock if you want to, get groceries and have great restaurants/cafés in town.

What's beautiful gem hidden around many fruit trees and avocado plantation. Greeted when we arrived with my name was amazing! Great hosts, beautiful hospitality, house, food, ambiance, friendliness you name it- and everything was brilliant!

I loved the country setting and the privacy. My daughter and granddaughters loved to walk around the property and enjoyed discovering the little bridge. The gardens were large and private, with beautiful plants.

Chris and Val were consummate hosts. The accommodation was spacious and clean and had great views from the private deck. It’s far enough outside Pahia to be quiet yet close enough to be easily accessible. We had a relaxing week with great weather. The Phat House brewery tap was about 3km away in Haruru and well worth a visit or three.
