The location was amazing. The view was amazing. I didn't realize how perfect the location was going to be when I booked it, I would have happily spent several more nights here. It was close to Akaroa but there was no light pollution for star gazing and we woke up to the sounds of birds and a sunrise over the harbor. Truly perfect.

Ken is a amazing host, friendly, very attentive, and he went above and beyond our expectations from delivering eggs to lending us his car, blown away with the service here at Glenwood Akaroa retreat. The walking tracks were a extra bonus, one with a beautiful waterfall. BBQ,assortment of snacks and breakfast are provided. The spot is so secluded, peaceful and private it was hard to leave.The perfect get away, we definitely recommend and would love to come back. Thankyou for having us.

Beautiful spa bath with Coastal area view! John and Jenny were so nice as well! Unfortunately, I had a mishap and spilled coffee from my cup onto the curtain, but fortunately, the host was very understanding and didn't reprimand me, in a separate incident, I dropped my phone into the spa bath, and commendably, the owner offered me a wireless charger, our stay has felt similar to a vacation at the residence of our own Uncle and Auntie, providing us with a warm and welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home.

Welcome drinks was an unexpected delight to meet other people staying in the property. The house is decorated in a wonderful antique style with loads of history behind every item. Incredible place, amazing hosts. After 3 weeks of traveling in New Zealand staying a night or two at many nice places, our stay at Kaituna Homestay was our TOP choice! First, this incredible home is located in a heaven of peaceful nature. We could enjoy the amazing garden and walks, the jacuzzi outside, and the cute animals all around. The room is huge and super comfortable, like a hotel suite. Second, Sharon and John are wonderful and caring hosts, we felt like at home. The breakfast was delicious and better than in restaurants. We left resourced and happy with incredible memories. We will definitely come again, and stay longer.

Brendon and Gail gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. The breakfast was well prepared by Gail, and it was very delicious. They also recommended a good restaurant for our dinner, which was delicious too. We felt very impressive during our stay here.
