First of all the host is amazing. He went beyond expectations in terms of everything. He helps us a lot and also advised where to go or to do on this rainy weather. He offered us a ride and also arranged for our ride with a price better than pick-me apps. The room is so specious and the bathroom is big 😁 it can be a challenge to go to the bathroom in the night but it has a great view of a lion rock while taking a shower. The food he cook for us for a breakfast and dinner is so delicious. I am honestly will recommend to stay in this place.

Absolutely perfect stay! Golden Rock Retreat in Sigiriya exceeded all our expectations. The family is incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful – you really feel at home from the first moment. The location is perfect, very close to Sigiriya / Golden Rock and ideal for excursions in the area. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, the view is amazing, and the place feels very private and peaceful. Everything is beautifully designed and thoughtfully done, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would 100% recommend this place. Outstanding service. Angie was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed, she booked tuk tuks and driver. The room (mountain view room) was beautiful as well, with amazing views and very clean. Breakfast was very good. Very clean swimming pool and they give you pool towels which was much appreciated.

We had the most incredible stay at Yashi’s place. The rooms for spotless and comfortable and the location very convenient. It’s a family-run property, who are nothing less than absolutely delightful and very accommodating. Our meals were freshly prepared, delicious and plentiful. They offer Sri Lankan cooking lessons onsite which I highly recommend! A lot of the ingredients we used were collected from the garden 🥰 I’m so looking forward to visiting again in the future and would recommend this place to all!

This is an absolutely lovely, family-run guesthouse. The cabin is completely new, with a comfortable porch and lovely details inside, such as the row of plants in the bathroom. Chathuri and Gayan are great hosts, very attentive, and they helped us with both big and small requests throughout our stay. We did the safari with Gayan to Kaudulla park and could not be happier. Chaturi also put us in touch with a great tuk-tuk driver, Nimesh, to go to Polonnaruwa and spend the day. Breakfasts were delicious and with plenty of food! The location is great, close to the main road, but in a quiet area. We also appreciated the mosquito net in the cabin, which allowed us to sleep with an open window, letting the cool night air in. I simply can not say enough good things about this guesthouse - 100% recommended! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

everything was amazing! the family are the most generous people I have met and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. Whenever we had any questions or requests we were met with kindness and generosity. The homestay is located in nature so it’s a beautiful place to relax after a day exploring. Our room was spotless and clean. Breakfast was great and we were offered many cups of tea during the stay! Also we loved the dog and the kittens!!
