They welcomed us with a delicious cake and a lovely cup of tea. Everything was so clean and comfortable. I stayed one night there and it was a great experience! The moother of Tharun, this lady was so friendly. They made us a very good breakfast also.

We arrived a day early to my booking (vacation brain) but they looked after us. Staff was great! I am 6'5 so the bed footer made it a tight fit but otherwise things were great. The 15 min walk from the train station allows for some amazing views of the countryside.

Loved this hotel & wish we'd had longer than one night! The room was large with doors opening onto a small balcony, and the bathroom was the best we had in all our Sri Lanka travels - clean, modern with a completely separate enclosed shower!! I made use of the yoga room the next morning which, with its large windows, provided some great views. The breakfast was amazing - there were several options and you just placed your order the night before. Town was about a 20min walk away (we cut through Victoria Park) and Lovers Leap Waterfall is also about a 20min tuk-tuk drive away.

This is the best place we have been in Sri Lanka. In terms of value for money, service and amenities. Which we noticed is that they are attention to details in every aspect. We really felt like home . We had dinner at Appleton, where I was super surprised with their reasonable price. Which’s the half of price we spent for lunch in Nuwaraeliya city center. Few things you should know when you travel Nuwara eliya. If you travel by your own vehicle there is no better place than this. This located between Nanuoya railway station and Nuwarael iya town. From the Appleton Villa to Nuwareliya town is exactly 5.9 Km which is 15 min to city center. What make you feel like as far is when the driver doesn’t know the road or else some Tuk Tuk driver want to charge extra that is why. Always take advise from the staff then you will be saved. Nuwara eliya itself is not a place to stay more than 2 days specially raining time. Overall we are quite happy with star class services.

Great location for walking along the railway line, making it very good if catching the train for the scenic trip Nanu Oya to Ella.or to Kandy. He enabled us to check in a little earlier and gave us a few ideas of things to do, such as walking to the local waterfall. He would have cooked an evening meal for us but we chose a place in the village where there were a lot of locals eating.

A very nice place to stay in a quiet place close to the train station. The surroundings are very beautiful, and they are very well connected with Nuwara Eliya. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, everything was very clean and family always did their best. Of course, I will repeat.

Very friendly host, rooms in the family home. Excellent food. Tea and cake on arrival. Clean comfy room, hot water shower, quiet location amongst tea bushes but also close to station.
