Location, Lovely Japanese vibe, Kyoko (manager) just made us feel so welcome. She also took us on a tour so we saw lots of Toyama!

Beautiful little house, very spacious for two people and good value. Our host Mizuho was extremely helpful with information, leaving us little surprise snacks and even driving us to Toyama station when we checked out. The house is 15-20 minutes way from the main cbd/Toyama Station, so you need to get a local bus if you don’t have a car. But there are helpful instructions at the property, and we found it a bit of an adventure to catch the bus. Also you get lovely views of the mountains when walking in the neighbourhood, which you don’t get in the cbd. Also recommend the Yakatori restaurant near the house. Cosy vibe and delicious food.

Host very nice. Gave us very warm welcome and offeref breakfast for morning, which was great start for the next day. Cozy place with great view on Tateyama.

The location was good. Great having the washing machine with plenty of space to hang wet clothes. It was great to also have onsite parking.

Retro, clean, spacious and in a nice location and clean. It’s everything you need in a nice small town. The host was nice and it is worth the price. I’d recommend here to anyone! Can’t wait to be back😊

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.
