As someone who has traveled all over the world, I can say this is one of the most authentic and memorable places I’ve stayed. I spent a week here and easily could have stayed longer. Jun, the owner, is kind, helpful, and speaks English, which made everything smooth and welcoming from the start. The room is spacious, the bed comfortable, and the entire property is clean. While it’s not a luxury villa - and isn’t meant to be - it offers something far more special: a genuine, warm, and local experience. The shared spaces are an added bonus, including a living room and a fully equipped kitchen (with cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and tea/coffee facilities). Having access to a washer and dryer was also a big plus. The bathroom is well-stocked with essentials, and the view of Mt. Fuji - from the bathroom, kitchen, and Japanese-style room - is simply unforgettable. The location is perfect: just minutes from the beach and lovely hiking areas, with a Piago supermarket and 7-Eleven around the corner. I also used one of the provided bikes to explore the shops and restaurants in the city center, which is only 15 minutes away by bicycle or bus. Overall, this place offers outstanding value for money and a heartfelt, memorable stay.

We stayed two nights in this guesthouse. The staff was very friendly and checkin/checkout went smoothly. There are one shared toilet upstairs and one downstairs and two shower rooms (one is women only). Both the room and the common areas of the guesthouse were clean. The guesthouse can be reached on foot by either walking from the main station for about 20 mins or by getting off at Mishima Hirokoji station.
