The main room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, and the heater did an excellent job of keeping us warm. Location was good, very quiet at night.

Beautiful Area and such a lovely host. It was about a 30 minute walk from the train station uphill (So beware if you have luggage with you!) It's such a beautiful house, it's quaint and felt comfortable to stay in. Two spaces with locks for traditional showers, baths and it seems there were space heaters for the colder months. There were plenty of toilets and one in our room as well, sinks with soaps and towels. The host provided toothbrushes if needed, has a microwave and mini fridge for guests to use upstairs near the sinks, and a kettle for hot water/tea/coffee. There is a fan mounted to the wall in our room which was very nice and we could open the windows for cool fresh air. Definitely a great place to stay. There's cafes super close, two combini about a 15 minute walk away, and a place to the left of the 7-11 had such good food at fair prices.

We had such a lovely time at Corner Shop. We stayed in the tatami mat room which was perfect for us, the rooms are so spacious, beautifully laid out and we had a view out onto the mountain. The toilet and shower room were also very clean and spacious. There is also a small kitchen with sink, kettle, fridge and crockery that we could use. The guest house is above a cafe/shop/bar with a really nice atmosphere and the staff were so friendly, kind and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this was the best place we have stayed in Japan and we will definitely be recommending it to friends! Miyota is a great location in a stunning landscape. It is easily accessible by train from Tokyo and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance of Corner Shop.

The hosts went above and beyond in every aspect to take care of my parents during their stay. It was very helpful having the pick up and drop off service from the train station since they weren't confident navigating by themselves.

Cosy place to stay, very clean. Comfortable rooms. Very friendly owner (great at playing piano too). Good place for a lot of sightseeing (mountains, forest, outet center). Discover the neighbourhood. Enjoyed my stay here a lot.
