Very unusual facility and the room itself! Huge room, with vintage furniture, a huge library and interesting paintings. Like you are in somebody’s private quarters in an old Italian villa. Very kind host, the lady owner, great breakfast and perfect secure parking right across the street. 2 minutes walk from central squares.

Absolutely gorgeous 3 suite boutique hotel, housed in a beautifully renovated palazzo. There is a gold, blue and green room. We saw all 3 (in between cleans/checkins), but stayed in the stunning gold room The proprietor has thought of everything, quite literally, from amazing common areas with impeccable attention to detail (eg loose tea to make, different coffee machines for caff and decaff, water without gas and sparkling in the room, lit up makeup mirror sleekly hidden flat with the wall, which revealed eye masks and earplugs (not that one needs it in this super quiet area with windows in d'Oro gold room facing into medieval neighbouring buildings and garden. Beautifully restored freschi, painted 16th and 17th century ceilings, stunning homewares, bedlinen and towels. Books for one to read, honesty bar for cocktails & other nightcap options. Such a comfortable huge bed! Wonderful sauna and meditation/yoga room that Gold suite comes with, and small personal gym at both blue and green room. Usb ports, adaptors, they thought of everything! Cake and tea and coffee, nuts and fresh fruits, whenever you need them, in the huge kitchen adjacent to the commonpalatial dining room. The soul of the hotel, for us, was lovely Marco, who manages the place, checks you in etc. The most fun, passionate about this property front of house lead that any proprietor would want. He talks about the property and hotel with such sparkle in his eye, shows such warmth and kindness to the guests, the epitome of service - he makes it a joy to stay here. I would come to Ravenna just to stay here again, it is that good of a place.

Alessandro met us on arrival, really excellent host, showed us our rooms, which were just what we wanted, two rooms at the top of their house. There is a lift if you need it, but stairs easy. Amazing comfy beds, solid floors, and beautifully quiet. Lovely roof top area for breakfast, with rooftop views. Perfectly clean, a fridge, fresh milk, cold water, maps, tea making facilities, what more do you need, oh it has lovely cool aircon. Perfect location for Imola F1, which is what we were there for, an a great alternative to beat the crowds, door to door by road 50 mins. Ravenna is so pretty and there was plenty of parking out side, so you could walk into town for pizza a nd a glass of something, 10 mins away.

If you want to visit Ravenna you should stay at la maison de theatre. A very nice central spot from where you can visit all the wonderful mosaics, shops and churches. Lovely host, artistic interior, good breakfast, clean and a good bed. I’ll go back :-).
