The really good breakfast and the fact that the friendly and welcoming host and hostess could adapt it to a vegan diet. The rooms were up to five-star hotel level, very tastefully fitted out, as were the fittings in the dining area.

If you're looking for an authentic family-run B&B experience, this is the gold standard. I travel often due to work - and I've had the privilege to stay in so many places all over the world (Japan, Estonia, Malta, Portugal, South Korea, Germany, USA etc etc etc). Churchfield is going to hold a special place in my heart. My big mistake was not booking more nights in this lovely place! (if you end up feeling the same way, just ask them if they have extra rooms available). Aoiefa and her family has taken so much trouble to make you as comfortable as possible - it's all the little things from the tea & coffee in the room, the hot water bottle, the thoughtfully provided toiletries etc. The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was warm & inviting. You can tell they love their guests, they are passionate about what they do, and hospitality is what they are all about. The location is excellent for an adventure to the Cliffs of Moher, and the Aran Islands. Not to mention that across & along the street you can walk to Irish pubs with trad music (even though we were there in an off season). All in all it was a memorable stay. Thank you for welcoming us into your family home ❤️

Our time at Blue Ocean suite remains one of our most favourite memories of Irish summer. We were glad to enjoy sunset country walks, outings to Doolin and the Burren, the Cliffs coastal trail and ferry to the Aran Islands, plus waking up and sleeping to the ocean outside our window was simply a treat! Orla is a rare gem, a star host who rises above expectations to ensure her guests have a comfortable and memorable stay, from room decor and amenities that exude relaxing, renewal vibes to her unbeatable breakfast provisions and kind generosity.
