The family running the posada is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It’s important to note that the house is not located in Flores itself but on the opposite side of the lake. To get there, you’ll need to take a small local boat that runs every five minutes for just 10Q. This adds an extra touch of charm and adventure to your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While the WiFi is typical for Guatemala—not very strong—it’s enough for basic needs around 5-6 Mbps Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the lake and the warmth of local hospitality. Highly recommended!

We just had the best time there. Probably the best apartment we had so far on our current travels. The hostess is such a lovely lady and help us out with everything, she even did our washing and offered us to help with booking tours. Everyone travelling to Flores we would absolutely recommend the stay at Ximel House! The house is also right next to the lake, Lanchas right infront of your front door.

The place is wonderful. Some slight fit and finish issues like the shower leaking onto the floor, but overall, the place is absolutely beautiful. The bathroom is stunning, and the bed is comfortable. Erick is easy to deal with and welcoming, and so is his wife/girlfriend. The location is a little out of the way, but a tuk tuk is only 30qtz to the main strip

I loved my staying at Macarena , its felt like a litle family and home far from home ! The staff go to the extra mile to give you an amazing stay. My laundry was done perfectly. The kitchen is well equiped! And yes , the hostel have a kitchen!!!!!! My favorite hostel so far !!!
