Everything was brilliant. The room was clean with a big and comfortable bed. The area is very quiet but still close to the town. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The host was very welcoming. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time at Fernside and can not recommend it enough. Linda and Ian were so welcoming and always on hand if we needed anything. The breakfast was delicious, Ian is an amazing cook! The views are beautiful and the room was so comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed inside. We are already talking about returning there one day :)

Immaculately clean room and the food was very good- the best fish and chips I’ve had for a long time! An excellent pint of local ale and very lovely staff. Faultless.

The location was perfect opposite the village car park with a donation charge of 50p. The accommodation was perfect with all the expected facilities and more. The pub and accommodation were both immaculately clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. Would definitely choose to stay again if visiting the area.

Such lovely and honest owners, cleanliness exceptional, layout and standard amazing. No faults at all. Even got offered breakfast in room which made it very special. I can do no better than endorse another review which said "We stayed overnight the beds were really comfortable and we had a great nights sleep, we went in the bar for a meal and we could not fault it. I had the steak and ale pie the steak just melted in my mouth and so lean, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was spot on and cooked to perfection even had black pudding, we would recommend this lovely pub/ B&B and will definitely stay again, also dog friendly." We stayed 5 nights. The countryside round about is beautiful and places like the Grand Western Canal and Knighthayes are well worth visiting.
