We stayed at Moorlands for a couple of days over new year's eve and it is an understatement to say that the quality of our stay went far beyond our expectations. The house itself is perfectly clean and authentic, amazingly decorated for a charming vibe. But this was nothing compared to how welcoming our hosts were. They went above and beyond to make us discover the region and made us feel home. We couldn't be more grateful. Thank you both of you for such an amazing experience.

A thoroughly relaxing place to stay ! Warm , comfy and in a quiet location but still within easy walking distance of the town and seafront . Some nice touches inside . I loved the door that opens half way across like a stable . Well thought out decor , the dragonfly curtains and highland cattle pattern on the beds create a homely feel . The fruit teas were very welcome too . I live on a main road so the quiet area was most welcome , all I heard at night was a distant owl , which is a comforting sound .Helensburgh with it's many landmarks , wonderful views and laid back folk is an absolute joy . Brilliant ! 😊

The receiving host, a lovely Scottish madam, was wonderful throughout our whole stay. The room was classic British style (moquette, warm colours) was excellent and felt like being our own home, with a warming crackling of a fireplace. The living room was very cosy and large. The breakfast was painstakingly complete and the host was extremely welcoming and polite. Overall, an unforgettable experience.

The host was extremely friendly, informative, and went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The setting was incredibly quiet. The room was AMAZING and extremely comfortable. The common area was a great place to unwind after a full day of travel and in the morning for a hot breakfast, which was delicious.

Ideal central location for what we wanted with plenty of food and facilities nearby. Very helpful owner who gave good advise and information which was ideal for a stranger in a different place. Would be top of the list to stay here before looking elsewhere

My husband and I decided to visit Scotland for NY. We stayed 29th Dec to 2nd Jan. What a lovely stay. The minute we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome by Lewis. We had a deluxe room... absolutely immaculate and very comfortable. Every evening we went to the bar. All of the staff were chatty and attentive. .. notably Lewis, Kris and Chico. We had a wonderful NYE. Lovely, lovely locals, fab band, pipers and fireworks. Even though it was busy, the staff were still wonderful. We will definitely stay again. A huge thank you for a fantastic stay... especially to Lewis and Kris!
