This is a gem of a property. Beautifully finished to a high standard and offered so many amenities in the room, from extra pillow, to a fan and an ironing board. The room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast and evening meals were superb and the staff were incredibly helpful. The village and surrounding countryside is the England of chocolate boxes. Beautiful. Trying to find an excuse to revisit.

Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Parking at the back of the pub was fine, next to the village park. Very quiet and dark at night, comfy bed, very very clean and private.

This hotel is pet friendly. The room was exactly as I expected. The hotel is very conveniently located and the room has everything you need. For those who need a break from the daily grind, this is the perfect place. Please note that there is no lift and they don't serve breakfast in the hotel. Many leave negative reviews, but I do not agree with them. If you need to have employees fussing around you, then book other more expensive hotels, but if you need peace, unobtrusive service and a kind attitude towards your pet, this is the place for you. I will continue to stop here further, for me it is an ideal choice.

An outstanding village pub that serves excellent, uncomplicated but imaginative food and obviously appeals to locals and visitors alike.. The garden was beautiful and everything about the place was immaculately presented. The interior design and makeover was thoughtful and in keeping with the original building. The coffee shop outside the front door was a really nice touch - full of dog walkers in the morning. Breakfast was the best I have had in the UK and the vegetarian food options were fantastic.
