Breakfast options were delicious, room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony including a small bridge & river view. The bathroom and the soup, shampoo options have a high quality. Staff was very helpful and lovely.

The whole experience was just lovely. I called ahead to check last time for ordering dinner. Turned out I was arriving exactly at that time -8pm so I pre-ordered steak, and it was served outside in the very sweet garden area within 10 minutes of arriving. The welcome by the barman was friendly. He showed me to my room, told me everything I needed to know and served dinner too. Dinner was super tasty, hot and well-presented. The Merlot was perfect and the Pavlova to die for! What I couldn't understand was why there was no one else at the pub below or anyone eating dinner! Because I found the whole village and hotel just lovely. I had the whole little oasis to myself and it was just what I needed after a few weeks of hard work! I felt myself relaxing like butter! I had an amazing night's sleep as it was so quiet. I had to leave early so didn't have breakfast. Parking in front of the hotel was close by. I will definitely try to stay there again

Loved it’s location to the event we stated for. Namely my brothers wedding which was a 20 minute walk away. It was a lovely old inn with history. Great bed, which was super comfortable. Perhaps the most telling feature was the greeting we received from the staff as we were checking in. They were so warm, friendly and very welcoming. A quality that influenced our decision to cancel our recommended Sunday roast at another restaurant fir their Sunday lunch in the most beautiful dining room/call room. What a lovely find. We will definitely return, for a longer stay and more of their chef and kitchen’s menu. It was wonderful.

We had a great time, the place is very curated in every detail, room and bathroom were comfortable, breakfast delicious. We also had dinner here and the food was very good. A nice short loop walk starts here and passes by the Thames. The best stay out of our 3 nights in the Cotswolds!
