A real gem! The owner and staff were so warm and accommodating, with great local tips. Breakfasts were excellent, and the hotel is beautifully furnished with lovely extras in the room — tea and coffee tray, glasses, even fruit cake and cookies. We loved our stay— highly recommend!

The Bantan Tea Rooms are right in the centre of town - just across from the stone market place. Our room was modern with a great bed and new bathroom. The welcoming staff allowed us to lock our bikes out the back initially and later stored them inside overnight. The full English breakfast was everything we needed to get us going for another day cycling these fabulous Cotswolds. We'd love to stay here again.

It was one of the best trips. It's too simplistic to describe this as an hotel. You can breathe (and I didn't know about it) a true and real Tolkien atmosphere. It is also a pub (with live music!), a nice restaurant, the wine is perfect too!!! I also have to say that breakfasts are one of the most delicious parts of the day :). John is an amazing owner, very kind and it's a delight to have a chat with him in the mornings! Let me also say the hotel is in a very convenient position. If you are travelling without a car there is a bus (almost in front of the hotel) that you can take to visit the other Cotswolds villages.
