JJ guesthouse is a wonderfull place. The all family is welcoming, and always smiling. You will feel like home. The rooms are spacious, fully equiped (AC, fridge etc) and beds are very confortable. The house is perfectly located with an amazing rooftop with Nile view. On the rooftop the best chef of Aswan will take care of you and served you delicious breakfast. We could wash our clothes here, wich was usefull. Do not look for another place, book here and you wont regret it. We were really lucky to be there and we hope we will come back one day. Thank you again JJ for everything.

Breakfast was a delightful experience every morning, with fresh and delicious options that gave us the perfect start to our day. We were also pleasantly surprised by the possibility of having dinner at the property, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A special mention must go to Mahmoud, who was always there to assist us with anything we needed. What truly set him apart was that he wasn’t just a businessman—he was a local who genuinely loves his hometown, and that passion was reflected in every interaction. Unlike many others, he never tried to push excursions or sell us anything. Instead, he adapted to what we wanted, offering sincere recommendations and making sure we had the best possible experience. Clean and comfortable home with the most stunning view of the Nile river. The host Mustafa was so welcoming and organized our trip to Abu Simbel and taxi to the airport. His nephew Hamada kindly collected us from the port and dropped us there in the early hours of the morning to catch our taxi to the airport - nothing was too much trouble. It was so peaceful and relaxing there, our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We hope to return in the future. Fabulous guesthouse with fabulous hosts. Many thanks again to Mustafa & Hamada.

Everything: the location on the elephantine island was amazing, with view to the nile river, and next to greats restaurants. The bedroom was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. In fact they help us to take the boat and taxi to the train station at 4 am. 100%recommended

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We stayed for one night at ABU Guest House, and I regret not having stayed there every night we were in Aswan. Mr. Abu was extremely welcoming, the rooms are super comfortable, well-decorated, and very, very clean. He even ofered us a bigger room for free. The dinner and breakfast prepared by Mr. Abu's wife were the most delicious we had in Egypt. He also took us on a boat ride around Elephantine Island, showing and explaining everything. At the end, he also offered us a massage session... very relaxing! In short, it was truly a pleasure to have stayed at ABU Guest House. If I could rate them more I would because they really deserve

Room is comfortable and clean, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the city center. Although you need to take a boat to get there, you can contact the staff and will pick you up quickly, not take more than five minutes to arrive.

Great location on Elephante meant lovely Nile views and roof top terrace which was excellent for both starting and ending the day. Mohammed is a wealth of information and a great host and made the stay very memorable. He was able to arrange cars for temple visits and a private ferry to get from island to mainland all very seamlessly and not a bit pushy. Highly recommend a stay at Meshra Katto.

Great location next to the Nile and 5 minutes on foot from the ferry. Also very nice rooftop to chill by the river. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Ahmed is a great host, we were able to take our breakfast in a bag when we had to leave at 4am. He can also organize a trip to Abu Simbel at a reasonable price.

Great location. Large apartment type accommodation directly on the nile. Amin was really nice and able to organise anything I needed. Right beside ferry that is very frequent and cheap. Lovely quiet island for walking around.
