Pool, staff, clean, close but quiet.

I feel lucky that I chose this place just based on seeing it online. I might have chosen a different place because I'd never been to Samara before, so I'm so glad I ended up here. It is a special place that grew on me the longer I stayed. It's in a perfect location that is convenient for the commercial area and main beach of Samara, but a little bit set back where it was more peaceful and a little bit wild. The staff were so helpful and warm and professional; this is why people love Costa Rica--the hospitality of the Ticos. They asked me if I had dietary restrictions, because the breakfast offerings changed each day (and they were all delicious with fresh ingredients--and with very generous portions). It's a smaller property with not so many rooms, so it's pretty quiet and the other guests were all respectful of privacy and keeping noise down. After a long day exploring the local areas, this was such a great spot to come back to and truly relax. There are a couple of really good Costan Rican sodas nearby and I also rented a bike to go further afield. One of my favorite things to do here was to go for a dip in the pool right around sunset, when everyone else was either going to dinner or the beach for the sunset. The whole area came alive with the sounds of wildlife: howler monkeys, cicadas, so many different birdsongs, and some other mysterious Costa Rican animal sounds I did not recognize (????) I just floated in the pool and listened to the sounds of Costa Rica and was truly relaxed and calm. The staff were super helpful with any practical questions about things like transportation, laundry, anything you need in town. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The wifi was lightning fast and checkin and checkout were really easy.

We stayed here 2 nights and liked it. Michaela was a great hostess: friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and responsive. She had good recommendations of activities to do. The cabin was really nice and spacious. The breakfast was tasty, filling, and worth the money. The pool was nice too. We'd stay here again!

Such loving, beautiful, open hearted people

The location of this place is just out of this world - a short walk to one of the most beautiful (and next to empty!) beaches I've been to with a difficult to top sunset view. The aircon worked well which was much appreciated. Our room was spacious with a lovely terrace with a hammock. The owner and staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Lovely breakfast on the restaurant terrace with a view.

Owners are so lovely, helpful and nice. They has a really cute dog which is amazing company. Room is clean, nice and everything is perfect. Definitely worth it.
