The staff is so accommodating and friendly. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hostel Rio Amazonas. We never stay anywhere else when we're in Santiago. It's affordable and always exceeds our expectations. The beds are super comfortable, the room and linens are super clean and cozy. We love staying here as it feels like staying with family without the drama! The dog Ginny makes it feel even more like a home!

A wonderful hotel/guest house run by a charming couple. Fabulous comfy beds and spacious rooms. We stayed on 4 separate occasions in both the ensuite and shared bathroom rooms. We left our big bags whilst we explored central & northern Chile & Rapa Nui. This made our visit so much easier. Thank you Francisco & Barbara you were great hosts. This was in a great neighbourhood. It was an easy walk to the gondola and Costanera Centre in a safe neighbourhood. It was about 40mins walk along the river (safe and pleasant) to the Bella Vista District. I don’t speak Spanish, but the owners were so kind and patient with me. They were just lovely, and even though we needed to talk through google translate, we got by. Breakfast was a bowl of fresh fruit, bread rolls, cheese, ham, eggs and a treat (like a biscuit or cake). This property is great value! Thank you very much for my stay! ❤️
