Location was in quiet neighborhood and very convenient to city centre. Just outside is tram #8 which is 7 minutes to the centre, and it cones by every 8 minutes. Rooms are on 3rd floor and no lift. But host Markus offered to carry our bags up. There's no TV, the bathroom is shared with 3 other rooms, but immaculate and a great shower. Breakfast offered for $15.00.

If I only had one word to describe Chez Jean and Daisy, it would be: Magical. This bed and breakfast in a sleepy hamlet outside of Basel near the German border is nothing short of a treasure. Everything in the house is steeped in history, charm, and beauty. Immediately upon walking in the gate to the property, you are greeted with an elegant garden. At the door, the wise and wonderful Jean embraces you with a larger-than-life personality. Daisy, with her warmth and loveliness, becomes no stranger too. The breakfast is served downstairs in the shadow of a ticking clock that has more character than a Victor Hugo novel. The bread is homemade and deliciously unique.

The hosts were really nice and caring and they really did everything to accommodate my needs. I felt really taken care of. Like, for example, they saw that my car didn't have the vignette in the right place and they advise me to put it right to avoid a fine. If I had stayed in a hotel they would not even care I think. Hey also attended to other personal and specific requests I had (for personal reasons I wont share) and they did go above and beyond what I would have expected. Breakfast was very good as well.
