The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I highly recommend choosing the breakfast and dinner option – I was served delicious, hearty meals. Definitely the best food I had in Armenia.

Describing our incredible stay at Guesthouse Mary is a daunting task. In all honesty, I struggle to find the right words to capture the beauty and warmth we experienced during our time there. Looking back, I wish we could have extended our stay to fully immerse ourselves in the exceptional hospitality provided by Mary and her family. Right from the moment we arrived, we were embraced as if we were long-lost family members. A delectable array of homemade baked goodies greeted us, accompanied by a choice of invigorating Armenian coffee and tea. The village of Haghpat, nestled among the lush hills, plateaus, and gorges of the awe-inspiring Lori Province, provided the perfect backdrop. Here, natural and locally sourced ingredients were masterfully transformed into mouthwatering meals. From freshly churned butter and cheese procured from nearby farmers to homemade jams and baked goods meticulously crafted by Mary, her mother, and her talented nephew, Arthur, using fruits and vegetables from their own garden, every bite was a revelation. The Dolma, made with grapevines from Mary's garden, was a culinary delight, unlike anything we had ever tasted. What's more, Mary went out of her way to ensure that the meals catered to my vegetarian friend, showcasing her exceptional kindness. As for the accommodation, it can best be described as a nostalgic "Dacha," a charming summer cottage constructed by Mary's father in the 1960s. Each corner of the house is adorned with historical artifacts and handcrafted materials that transported us to a bygone era. The mid-century furnishings, skillfully crafted long before the age of mass production, offered a glimpse into a time when things were meticulously handmade. And how delightful it was to sit on the balcony, serenaded by the melodies of countless songbirds, or explore Arthur's captivating "mini-museum" in the basement, where family heirlooms painted a vivid picture of Armenia's rich history.

If you want authentic local contact, a very nice stay! Very sympathic host, who can make you diner using their own garden harvest. Very affordable price to. Small village, still we had a hard time finding the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Cosy, beautiful guesthouse surrounded by stunning scenery. Friendly and helpful owners, delicious Armenian food. Modern facilities, spacious and comfortable rooms. Will definitely return back!

Only 5 mins walking distance from Sanahin Monastery, good position on the hill with nice view from windows of kitchen and dining room, very clean and comfortable house with 2 big rooms, 2 toilets, kitchen and balcony of rich space. Owner is a beautiful Armenian girl with lovely smile who can also speaks Russian, French and English. French is very fluency. Willing to comunicate and help with taxi booking. Meals not included in room fee but price is reasonable. She cooks with home grown ingredient, clean, delicious and healthy. Unique and unforgettable experience in life.

I recently stayed at a charming guesthouse that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and comfortable, allowing for true relaxation. The breathtaking views were expansive and stunning, enhancing the overall experience. To top it off, there were three adorable dogs that added warmth and joy to our stay. This guesthouse was perfect for us, as it provided everything we needed for a memorable getaway. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene escape in a beautiful setting!

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner and his family. Room was clean, beds comfortable, countryside location was great. We slept very well and wish we could have stayed 1 more night.

Amazing place to stay. The guesthouse is next to the family home of the hosts. The family is very welcoming, friendly and open to give advice on what to do in the area. English is not a problem. They brought fresh and tasty breakfast to us every morning and there is an optional cooked dinner. Comfy beds, kitchen and seating area. The Migoyan museum and Sanahin monastery are next door and the start to some wonderful hikes are nearby. There is a small shop next door. You can also watch the piglets in the neighbour's barn while drinking your morning coffee.
