Our stay was very comfortable with lovely beds and bedding, our room was very clean and recently updated. The staff were all extremely welcoming and tended to our every need. We were greeted with a coconut to drink out of upon arrival as well as some local fruits. The breakfast was great with freshly made eggs however you like. The lunches and dinners were also really tasty. There is a bar at the pool, beach and restaurant which was convenient. The pool has a nice view of the ocean as well. The shuttle service from the airport was timely and convenient. We saw whale sharks snorkeling! We had our laundry done and folded, which was great. Our room was upgraded free of charge as there was availability, which was such a nice surprise as it has never happened to us before. Overall an amazing stay at a beautiful hidden gem, book it!!

Mafia Island Airport is a few steps away. The hotel and staff were both excellent. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great and plenty of lounge chairs with sun and shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast made to order and plentiful. Dinners also tasty.

Mafia Island Marine Park, the largest and oldest in Tanzania is 6km from Meremeta Lodge.. It was like staying in a cozy, private village. Meremeta, Suma and all of the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were dedicated to making our stay in Mafia the best possible and always available for anything we needed.

The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We traveled to Mafia Island specifically to see the whale sharks. We went out the first day with a highly rated local tour company and did not see any whale sharks which was unusual. The next day we decided to go out with Hassan, the manager at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Hassan was determined and we did in fact see whale sharks!! Hassan took such good care of us. I was so happy to see the whale sharks but I was getting tired after a few swims so I was content to stay in the boat and let my family continue swimming. After resting a bit, Hassan jumped in to see if it was a good view for me. He came back to the boat and let me know it was a great view if I was up to swimming again. I jumped back in and had the very best time! I cannot say enough good things about Hassan and everyone at the Lodge. They are all so kind and helpful. I also highly recommend the massages at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Thank you Hassan and everyone at the Lodge.

Each unit features views of the garden. It is a beautiful place, a lot of activities - daily excursions (staff even tried to organize it just for us), diving (different reefs), snorkeling, massages, everything. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable. Very peaceful, nice, calm and great send camp. Staff was also amazing, we were three young girls, felt safe and really enjoyed our last days of Tanzania.
