Beds really comfortable and with curtains offering more privacy. Giovanni working there was so nice and made all guests super welcomed in town and had great recommendations. I booked for 5 nights and ended up staying 12 it was great! Great kitchen to cook as well, proximity to everything but a bit more out of the center of the town which offers more tranquility.

Plus, they offer massages, tours, and easy access to diving centres (about 20mins away) in Santa Catalina, which made it the perfect base for our PADI certification. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ryan and Anthea, whose story and passion for this place shine through in every detail. Their love for music adds a special touch to the atmosphere, making it even more unique. The vibe is social yet laid-back, like a boutique retreat with the warmth of a hostel, but for all types of travelers—singles, couples, families, and friends alike. Honestly, everything was perfect. Catalina’s Hideaway was one of the absolute highlights of our three-week adventure in Panama, and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The lodge has a wonderful view, the terrace is very peaceful to relax after surf sessions. This is very convenient to be able to rent boards at this place and have surf lessons. The new bungalows are very nice, confortable and well équiped. Very clean on arrival too. The common area is very confortable.

The town center, 10 minutes away, offers multiple restaurants and bars and the takeoff spot for the UNESCO world heritage Coiba, bookable in the hotel. Everything was great, very nice and friendly people, the bungalows were very modern, clean and well equipped, beautiful outside area, very nice to relax and explore Santa Catalina

The restaurant is very popular and Juan is a great chef. I just felt at home. The big porch invites conversation between guests. Christina is very kind and runs a tight ship. I liked it so much, I’m returning next month with my whole family.
