This guest house features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. Featuring a private entrance, the guest house allows guests to maintain their privacy. We loved the room, it is cozy and decorated very cute. The views in the morning were amazing and the accessibility to the beach and tours nearby was very nice. The hosts had very good references for tours and activities. We had breakfast there and it was delicious.

The yoga deck is a dream, whether for the daily classes or your own training session (there are even some weights available). There’s also a beach volleyball court, a stargazing area, a gorgeous pool, and direct access to a beautiful beach for long walks. Plus, they offer massages, tours, and easy access to diving centres (about 20mins away) in Santa Catalina, which made it the perfect base for our PADI certification. We also had the pleasure of meeting Ryan and Anthea, whose story and passion for this place shine through in every detail. Their love for music adds a special touch to the atmosphere, making it even more unique. The vibe is social yet laid-back, like a boutique retreat with the warmth of a hostel, but for all types of travelers—singles, couples, families, and friends alike. Honestly, everything was perfect. Catalina’s Hideaway was one of the absolute highlights of our three-week adventure in Panama, and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

The location is perfect, offering beautiful views. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a wonderful family that makes you feel at home. Highly recommend!

Villa Coco is located 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride (free) from Playa Estero, a famous spot to learn surfing and enjoy the beach. The town center, 10 minutes away, offers multiple restaurants and bars and the takeoff spot for the UNESCO world heritage Coiba, bookable in the hotel. Amazing location and service at villa coco. When we arrived from a long ride we got a nice drink. Our luggage were carried to our room. The room is spacious and there is outdoor shower. The food in Villa coco is amazing. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing, there was nice music in the restaurant. Therefore we only ate in Villa coco. The swimming pool is super nice, I think the best in Panama of all the locations I have been. The beds at the swimming pool are very comfortable, so you can sunbathe the whole day. At the last day, the owner of Villa coco was super friendly and he brought us to the city centre of Santa Catalina with the pick up, because there are no taxis/busses. In the garden of Villa Coco you can walk to a hidden beach and at night you can see an amazing sky full with beautiful stars. We got a notification that there are constructions in the garden, but it was not disturbing at all. It was really quite and we could really relax in the garden. I will totally recommend a stay in Villa Coco. You will totally unwind and relax there!

This property is about 3 hours’ drive from Enrique Malek International Airport in David City. Estero Beach is 1.5 km away. It was a hotel that felt like a family home. The restaurant is very popular and Juan is a great chef. I just felt at home. The big porch invites conversation between guests. Christina is very kind and runs a tight ship. I liked it so much, I’m returning next month with my whole family.

Casa Maya, located at a walking distance from Santa Catalina and a 5-minute walk from town beach, 20-minute walk from the Estero beach, Casa Maya features a garden, terrace and free high speed internet. The host was very helpful and nice! She shared useful info with us and was very accomodating and went above and beyond (for example, she stayed about to wait for our lost luggage when we hadn't arrived yet and let us borrow beach towels). The room was clean and quiet and there was good AC.
